Flathead Strapback

This one is especially reflective of Ampal - rooted old school ideas, like science... Inspired by the Golden Years of American motorcycling, this hat brings to mind the old water-slide decals of the 50s-60s. We picked some of our favorites, redrew them by hand and printed them vintage style on felt. The ultimate compliment came at the Seal Beach Vintage Bike Show, when a girl remarked that they looked like the hats her grandpa, who road bikes back in the day, used to wear.

Constructed from upcycled fabrics with attention to detail, these hats are built to last.  Each one has it's own unique lived-in character, like a great pair of jeans.
